1928 roadster pickup cab assembly pictures
Can someone please post pictures of the inside of a 28 or 29 rpu cab? I have a completely disassembled one that I am trying to assemble. Pictures of any braces, the B pillar with latch striker , and rear cab corners would be much appreciated.

Re: 1928 roadster pickup cab assembly pictures
I looked for you the other day and was hoping someone else would help you. Unfortunately I don't have much to help you with. The pictures I do have are from a messtoration that we got in that the rear body panel was oil-canning due to the restorer used a grinder to strip the old paint & rust off and over-thinned the metal. We fabricated and added strengthener ribs to the inside to give the body some rigidity again, and correct other issues. Nonetheless, hopefully what I do have can help somewhat. (We also had one other pickup that I did many years ago but I am guessing that was before the digital age when pictures were given to the customer as developed photographs. )

Thanks Brett. It looks like you have a wood strip in the back corners, is that original? I have these stiffeners

Yes, wood in the corners is original. We added metal stiffeners and spot welded it to the inside of the rear panel.

Do these end pieces fit into the corners?

Re: 1928 roadster pickup cab assembly pictures
I have been following this thread intently since I have a '29 RPU with no back cab parts or pieces. It only has the front cowl/pillar bolted on, so I have no idea what I need for the back part of the cab.
Rather than start a redundant thread on here, would Russ be willing to send me his pics also? This was something I was going to ask about eventually, but since it was already brought up, it would allow me to get started sooner than later in obtaining the necessary components. Any assistance is very much appreciated since I'm new to the Model A world. Craig |

Re: 1928 roadster pickup cab assembly pictures
This is actually pretty helpful to me as well. I just picked up a really solid, complete 29 RPU, although there was some rust issues on the lower cab corners. I was missing most of the wood. This will help identify what i am missing & give me a reason to use my band saw again
