Lawson I have had the triple A surgery twice. Discovering you need the repair is the big life saving thing as you can lose your life if it is not discovered. The operation is not a big deal with one or two nights in the hospital. I had the surgery in 2010 and in my annual followup in 2013 it was discovered the abdominal stent had slipped. The doctor told me that happens in about one of ten surgeries. I had the surgery a second time to add another stent. Still not a big deal but do not skip the annual checkup. My 2014 annual checkup was fine. No heavy lifting for 30 days and then good to go. It is NOT heart related. By the way I am a lot older than you. Good luck, god bless, and do not worry. Thank god the need for surgery was discovered!

thanks for your comments barnstuf. I will ask the doctor tomorrow about odds of slippage, etc. when he does the pre op. There is no way you could be "a lot" older than me, LOL.

Lawson...I am praying already for you.
Just remember...God who created the entire universe from nothingness can make all things come out alright. Put your cares, your fears in his hands,
The god with such infinite compassion that he feeds and

You are never alone. Have peace in his safety.

Lawson, My prayer is that the Lord with give you His Peace at this time. Put your Faith and Trust in Him and He will see you through. I also pray that the Lord will guide the Surgeons hands as he performs this operation.
Tim, Likewise, I pray for you as you await for the outcome of the test results on your problem. If they detect the Cancer early and operate, with a skilled Surgeon, everything will be fine and you will be able to live a happy normal life. Turn your problem over to the Lord and He will see you through.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers guys. My surgery is scheduled for the morning of February 27th, 2015 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Surgeon is going to try to do the stint thing, going through the large artery in the groin. If that won't work he will do an open procedure through the side or abdomen.

Lawson, on the Chapel page look at lower left corner, "Post new Discussion". Left a prayer on the Chapel for you and Tim. Take care and continue to Look UP.
