once you remove door panel you will see a clip holding the lock.the clip slides on to the lock from the door edge it will be behind the rubber seal.the seal should not be glued to door where clip is unless someone glued it when replacing the seal.if glued carefully trim glue from door taking care not to break-cut seal.clip can be hard to remove using a large bladed screwdriver will help.make note of the linkage position when removing from old cylinder.

Have you removed the door lock yet? Don't need to pull pull door panel. Door open push aside weather strip and pull sliding flat pin. Lock will come off door. When reinstalling, put a gasket on it if it was missing....like mine. Gasket seals out water from outside of car. Rekeying? Small screwdriver pry off small top cover on cylinder, over a towel with plenty of light. A spring pops out and then a pin. The length of pins match the new key upon Assy. You need differing lengths of pins and I canibalized other door cylinders to match mine. Make sure spring/pin cover firmly fits on cylinder...

Maybe it's inside the bottom of one of your doors?

The spring for the key cover lid?

Agree above, I found one key lock part in the bottom of my door....who knows how long it was there.
As a side note, I found rags, a tac rag and a paint stirring stick inside my 1/4 sheet metal!
Just great work, sarc/ off.

Buy the piece from MAC's or other aftermarket part sources.
