gauge gauge whose got the gauge?
On my 40 sedan when you first start it all the gauges work.
Gas, bat ,oil pressure, and temp. after a few minutes the oil pressure and temp gauge stop working. Gas and batt gauge still work. After you stop the car and start it again, the same thing happens/ Any ideas. Six volt positive ground, good cables, and grounds new battery. Thanks Roger |

Re: gauge gauge whose got the gauge?
If you remove the wire from the sender and place a voltmeter on the wire to ground you should see full battery voltage. If so then the problem will be with the sender or it's ground. So for a second test reattach the wire and add a second ground path to the sender body. If that corrects the problem then the ground is the problem. If the problem still exist the sender is the problem.

Re: gauge gauge whose got the gauge?
If you have used a sealant like teflon tape or another sealant you may not be getting a good ground on the senders..
