Looking for just the right look in floor mats to protect the carpet in the 53 Merc. 1000's of them out there but so far, nothing that would look right. And ideas where I can find a nice selection that would compliment the car?

I have seen several types of nice mats in the Ford/Mercury parts supliers catalogs such as Mac's ,etc. Nice car!! - F F

If you are looking for carpets to go in the foot wells, check with a carpet store. Some of the bigger ones offer custom cut, edge finished mats, and can even embroider a logo on them, depending on the type of carpet selected.

First you need to determine if you want a rubber style or a carpet style. That should help to narrow down the selection. Check with the companies that sell car covers like California Car Covers or Covercraft. These companies sell some very nice custom type of mats.
