40 Ford Standard tudor interior
Hello,
Does anyone have any pictures of the headliner on a 1940 Ford standard tudor, particularly around the B-pillar. Does the door panels have material the same as the seats? I am wanting car to be point judged, and not wanting interior to cause a point deduction. Even the interior suppliers are not 100% sure. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks Rwalker |

Re: 40 Ford Standard tudor interior
I would venture to say that the door panels and seats do not use the same material.
Look here: http://mint2me.com/2013/05/20/off-wi...-deluxe-tudor/ Best bet is to call LB. Also visit some AACA car shows in NC and ask lots of questions. http://www.lebaronbonney.com/# Last edited by 19Fordy; 02-28-2016 at 01:21 PM. |

Re: 40 Ford Standard tudor interior
Thanks Steve and 19Fordy,
I have been told by LeBarron Bonney that the seats in a 1940 Ford Standard tudor use the same material. That it has stripes in it. \ \I have been told by people that know a lot about 40's that there were no strips on panels. \And I thought that someone may have a picture of the B-pillar on a 40 standard tudor.\ Thanks again Rwalker |

Re: 40 Ford Standard tudor interior
To be clear it seems that you need photos taken in an original unrestored 40 Standard 2 door of the headliner, door panels, B-piller, seats and quarter panels.
Correct? If you are going for points details matter......a lot. Luck.

Re: 40 Ford Standard tudor interior
Thanks John Worden for the pictures. From the looks of your car the side panels are plain and the seats have stripes.
Thanks again Rwalker |

Re: 40 Ford Standard tudor interior
For Standard door panel there are Four horizontal Pleats across the door panel. You can see them lightly in the photos. You need to purchase the Early Ford V-8 Club of America 1940 Ford Book. It has photos and descriptions of the 1940 Ford interiors, including door panels and headliner, etc.

Re: 40 Ford Standard tudor interior
Thanks TonyM
I have the Early Ford 1940 book and the samples that LeBarron sent me for the 1939-40 closed cars looks nothing like whats in the book. I just wanted to make sure that what LeBarron Bonney re-sends me is correct. I am trying to have car ready for the National AACA show in Charlotte and I am running out of time. Thanks Everyone for your help Rwalker |

Re: 40 Ford Standard tudor interior
Mr. Walker, In the back of the 1940 Ford booklet shown above is brief info. on each of the folks who wrote that book. Wayne Moore was was Benny Bootle's chief restorer and mechanic. If possible, do a White Pages search and perhaps you can contact him directly and get an answer to your question. Also, try contacting the other authors. Perhaps someone on Fordbarn or the AACA site can provide leads too.

Thanks 19fordy,
I got in touch with Wayne Moore and he said that the 40 Ford Standard tudors that he done they done in leather. He is a lot of fun to talk with. Super nice guy.\ I tried to get in touch with the other two authors but could not find their numbers. Thanks again Rwalker |
