normleo-

Find yourself a chunk of 4" I.D. iron pipe. Take it to a machine shop and have them set it up in a lathe and cut the rings off at 0.195-0.200 thickness. Finally epoxy to the back of the wheel as shown and you are good to go. Incidentally, once everything is set up on the lathe you can cut off enough spacers to set-up a "cottage industry" and pay-off your initial investment and then some!

There has been some good recent posts on this subject. Too much to try to repost here. Go to the search function and find some of these. There are spacer rings made for the new reproduction drums and rings for the original 40-48 drums. There is also an interference problem in some cases when using wire wheels on original '46-'48 drums due to welded on balance weights. If you have any trouble finding these old posts send me a pm and I will try to locate them for you or get you all the info you need.
