Press fit.

Stick a punch down inside the hole after pulling back the slide-cover. Twist the punch and the oiler will/should slip out of the housing.

I put a punch in the oil hole as Brent said, then I use a flat blade screwdriver behind the punch to pry it out. This way there is no chance of deforming the oil hole.

Were all the oilers the same that were supplied from Ford? I have seen, and thought, that the 31 style had a flip door oiler instead of the pull out style oiler.

I have seen Model-A replacement distributors with the flip-door oiler but do not believe they were a Ford product. I have a new in the box version sold by Western Auto back in the day. They basically replaced the spring-loaded pull type oiler with a flip-door oiler as was used on the generators. Oiling these is a bit messier but with a syringe you can fill up the shaft and bushing area with a pretty good shot of oil.
