See attached couple of pictures of the steering box.

When I said 6" I wasn't looking at the car and was just guessing, its really 31/2 inches. One of the pictures you can see a piece of tape on the frame, this was where the original box was bolted to the frame. I also included a picture of the drag link extended.

Thanks for the photos, that gives me a good idea what I'll need to do as well.

I'd love to see it sometime, I did notice as well you are in KC. I wish it would warm up enough to get some of the cars out a little more.

The car will be at my house garage until Thursday, then I'm moinvg it to storage for the rest of the winter. I'm retired so about anytime this week would work for me. I live just south of KC in Raymore.

Still struggling a little getting the Datsun 8 plug distributor working, having trouble getting the total advance where I want it.

Plan on taking it to Lincoln this summer for the speedster re-union and hill climb.
I found your post from almost 10 years ago. You mentioned struggling getting the Datsun distributor total advance where you wanted it. Did you ever get it figured out? Any advice for a guy getting ready to go down this same path?

Thanks, Matt
