Need Photo of O/D Relay Firewall Position
For awhile I have been watching for pics of peoples shoebox engine compartments of cars with overdrive, hoping to see a CLEAR shot of where the relay locates on the firewall. I know the general area, but would love to locate it fairly accurate,...... a clear shot would be most apprecitated. Thanks

If I remember correctly, there are two dents/dimples that are to be punched or drilled for the screws that hold the solenoid in place. You will also find one for the kick down switch under the accelerator pedal.

This is correct. I installed the relay on the firewall of my '51 (non-OD), and the dimples were there. It is obvious where it mounts if you look.
