Did late 30 cars ever come with the 31 style fenders and splash aprons.

I think after July. Mine has solid aprons.

If I'm reading the Standards right the change over was September 1930.

My August '30 Town Sedan has the two piece.

I've seen what I believe is a late 1930 straight windshield Town Sedan with the one piece aprons. Hard to say with certainty what year it was because somewhere along the line it was titled with a random VIN that isn't of the usual "A-------" we're used to. It had a rebuilt motor with another random number assigned by a rebuilder - but didn't match the titled VIN. Off hand I can't remember why else I thought it was a 1930 as opposed to a 1931 (other than the radiator shell and the straight windshield, yes I think there were some straight windshield '31 Town Sedans but I think the majority were slant).

I think assembly plants used what was on hand until supply was exhausted so I don't see how the date can be pinpointed. My July car has one-piece aprons but they may have been added after the car was made.

My late July or early August 1930, (SFA7314) standard coupe has the 2 piece aprons. A friend once had similar coupe made in San Francisco with a production number about 100 after mine and it had the one piece aprons. I do not know exactly when my friends coupe was made.
