Default The Glover Johns Ford Dealership, Corpus Christi, Texas, 1934

A very interesting exhibition of images assembled for study can be found at the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin, taken by an itinerant photographer in 1934 during the depths of the Great Depression.

The Glover Johns Ford Dealership is shown above and the sales counter at C. E. Russell Parts & Machinery is below. We have many more interesting photos showing other automotive businesses, along with a link to follow to see the rest of the outstanding collection that puts the the time that we all enjoy and study in focus on The Old Motor.

I just wonder if that POTTER TRUNK could still be laying around in that old building.

The drive shafts may be for horse pulled mowing machines.
