Default Oil Filter remote or 90 Degree

I have installed "Mike's Affordable Oil Filter" kit on my 29 coupe engine. Nice setup except I want to rotate it 90 degrees downward. Have been looking for the Ford Racing unit which should work good but can't find one. Anyone use the remote kit that they sell that you can mount away form the engine, the one that uses the oil filter point or another way? Anyhow maybe someone has a 90 degree adapter I can buy.

Look in Synder's catalog. They have a few oil filter adapter kits.

Last I heard the 90 degree adapters were out of stock at all vendors - not sure if this is still the case. Something about the part had been obsoleted by the manufacturer.

That explains the price on epay; $267.02!

You may want to look at Summit Racing for a ford adapter,

Currently out of stock at Summit- look at their ship date in the link, earliest possible ship date is 8/14/2020. Heard a rumor that that might not be actual, may take longer - but again this is a rumor.

Maybe get a used one from an auto wrecker, certain Ford V-6s used them, Aerostar comes to mind.

Says in stock, but then further down in the notes says out of stock, possibly discontinued by manufacturer - just a little confusing.

It's a 90 dollar part which kind of grinds you,its not 90 bucks worth of part. They were very common years ago, industrial applications

Gotta be somebody out there with an old used one or the one Ford used on V8s and V6s in the 90s and early 2000s.

Agree. Years ago when I bought a new one they were pricey though not like now. Likely was due to Ford's service parts pricing. As I recall they were used on Econoline V 8's due to lack of space. Should be able to get at a junk yard, oops recycler, that doesn't crush quickly.

Time to go shopping at the local Pick-a-Part (or whatever you have near you). Once the word gets out that it is no longer made the price will go up.

Look what happened to the steering column support bracket when they became N/A from the vendors. I paid $24 for a new one from Bratton's a couple of years ago and now they are going for $90-100 on ePay, used. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1931-Model-...UAAOSwH69e2l81
