Default Assembly photos at the Rouge Plant and the Ford Film, the Harvest Of The Years

The photo above shows the body-drop station on the assembly line at the Ford Motor Company River Rouge Complex in 1939. This complex may have been the world’s largest and most famous auto manufacturing and assembly plant in the world.

We have a very detailed post up on The Old Motor covering the complete history of the complex with many many photos and and a very interesting film about the Rouge Complex by The Ford Motor Company.

I have seen this video before however; I had forgotten all of the Zephyr shots in it. The film is very interesting and entertaining. Thanks for posting it.

Thats very interesting....in the pic of the 35, man appears to be applying pin stripes to the louvres on the hood. Never knew about this before.
