Default Road trip to the Redmond National meet

This is a little late but better late than never . We had a great time on our trip to the Redmond Western National meet known as "Round up in Redmond".Our little 39 Tudor just loved the trip as much as we did. We were gone 9 days and went almost 1500 miles. We went through 10 National forests and went to 6 National/State parks. Our highest point was 8000' in Mt Lassen. We were able to get a little better than 18mpg with our worn out little Flathead. Our average speed was 63 to 65mph on the highways which we tried to stay off of just to keep the trip more interesting. The National event was a lot of fun. They put a ton of effort into it and it payed off. Thanks to everyone who helped in anyway on the event. I have way to many pics to post but I will show you all the highlights. My wife and I like to stop as much as possible to see all the sights, big and little. I will do a little narration along with the pics.
Enjoy , we did !

On the road and Ready for the Round up

Turned 97000 at the beginning of our trip

First night in Burney Falls

Mike, That's a damn nice collection of pictures! You're quite the cameraman, but then, we won't tell those Easterners that anywhere you point a camera out here, the pics come out just fine!

You know I love road trips and yours looks like a great one. You have a good eye for composing a shot. Keep it up. I thought I'd been to most national parks but you went to some I never heard of. More for my bucket list.

(Speaking of buckets, looks like you have the same problem with PhotoBucket that I do with some of your pictures getting corrupted. I have to upload mine again from my computer to photobucket and repost them on the forum to fix it. Darn.)

Mike, I'm envious... I took much the same route you did and missed most of those wonderful sights! Thank you for reminding us all that when you reach your destination, the trip is over!

Good post...great pictures!! Thanks for sharing with those of us who could not be there. I remember seeing some of those same western cars at St. George, Utah WNM in 2010. Hope to see some of them again at the '13 GNM in Lake Tahoe.

Hey Alan , next time come with us . Amy & I travel slow and see everything. We know we will not be back to where we are visiting anytime soon so we take our time and pack as much in as we can and try to see it all.
