Until you lose someone under ice, you will never know just how stupid and lucky you are. Try picturing your daughters under that ice and maybe there isn't anything you can do except watch them die. Nuff said.

Geez Sonny,
As much as I appreciate what your saying,... I am really not sure what your referencing in this thread,... and question why you posted it...... Just Old Fords in the snow,... that's all.

I guess I sounded kinda harsh, didn't mean to. It's just that it enrages me when people put themselves or loved ones in what could be a fatal mistake. I also live in the north around ice and know just how unpredictable ice can be. What might look safe and sound could be death. Been there, done that.

That's so cool! Provides some inspiration, perhaps next year I'm thinking of doing something similar. Lots of great pics on this thread, thanx to all for posting.

Sonny may be referring to pictures 79 and 80. They were copied from and old picture that had cracks in it and at first glance it looks like a car on a snow cover ice pond with the ice cracked. Marv

Dog Bone. Looking at the pictures it sure makes me feel cold. Two days ago I was laying on the sand at the beach soaking up the sun.

Thought I would revive this thread from last winter I enjoyed so much with a couple of new photos looking for more from others.

This first one is of my Great-grandfather's home in Manti, UT.
