Default Looking for restoration quality starter motor

Standard rebuilds I've seen on eBay tend to have pitted case or other issues - functional but not quite restoration quality. Any recommendations, sources for high quality rebuilt 6v starter motor, let me know - thanks

And you don't care what it's made to fit?

Even pitted starter motor cases can be brought back to 'restoration' quality using auto-body restoration techniques.

Safest way to get one that really meets your standards would be to buy the core yourself...they are plentiful and not very expensive, and you can find greasy old ones that have never had a chance to rust. Then send it and any hardware you want incorporated to your rebuilder of choice.

Put an ad in the wanted section. Be sure to include the year if it is important to you. To the best of my knowledge they functionally interchange 1932-48 but there may be subtle differences to a restorer. PM me if you need a '32.
