Re: Nice fishing trip for all Barners free
Hi, I saw a video of U S Coast Guard rescue boats training. There location was the mouth of the Columbia River. They were rolling and pitching the same as the fishing boats. I am sure this is the same place on the west cost. The water is some of the most dangerous on the planet. If you notice the waves are sandy brown, caused by the sand bar deposited at the mouth of the Columbia. Incoming tide hitting outgoing river causes standing waves, they are very dangerous. The boats are rigged for trolling for salmon. Dangerous way to make a living. RR

New Zealand, Greymouth. Grey river bar. River in full flood. Hear the NZ accents. Note the right hand drive car at the end of film. Wipers are the give away and just see the steering wheel. Regards. Kevin.

Re: Nice fishing trip for all Barners free
I have seen this video before & it was attributed to the Columbia River, but after searching it is the Grey river in NZ. Jan,2011, local authorities were contemplating charging the captains for crossing bar in unsafe conditions.
