Has anyone tries Champion 00 Steering Box Grease. It is used in eary Camaros and Corvettes? It is available in a 32 oz. size at about $20 from Eckler.

The middle one is what Terry is referencing .
Very good stuff .

My choice is the SAE 140 in steering , U-joint , tranny and rear end .
Works well IF you did a good job on your steering box and clamshell gaskets . Also helps to put the driveshaft seal facing the right direction .

This subject has been covered here MANY times .

Hi all; Our local steering box rebuilder, cautions that the later boxes '49+ need a liquid lube as the clearances are so tight. Greg Edwards RG #10 is our go-to guy. Newc

Just an update on my experience with JD corn head grease in the steering box of my 52 Merc. I was surprised to see a bit of the grease actually leaking out around the shaft. Must be a bad seal. The box does not seem to have any noticeable slack in the steering.

Bit slew inda uptake .
Old thread - new question .
To answer your question - no .

One would think it is the same oozey slime as the
' liquid gear grease " as that is " 00 " also .
