Default Two steps forward.

Got my water pumps Friday, they are already ready to install, and I also blasted and painted the crankcase vent tube. Everything is looking pretty good. I also got the frankenstein starter in. It cranks the engine flawlessly. Like it's brand new. No fire yet, but I will get to that soon enough. Thank you so far for all the help in both advice and parts.

I am going to bolt the pumps on sometime this week, after work.

The front of the engine looks good. But if that's Chevy orange engine paint the engine will not run. lol Walt

Yep, I would bet that the Ford Barn has gotten a whole lot busier since The H.A.M.B. went down.

Lighting and android camera I guess? It's Ford red. Says so right on the can. In person it's a bright, angry, red.

I just hated the bronze color, didn't do it for me. If it was more like the caddy gold, it would be more to my liking. I read these could have been bronze or red, so I picked red naturally.

I also found a local place that can change the 6v generatpr to 12v. Probably the next service to be done.

That's how it is sometimes. This past Saturday I posted on an existing Clutch Chatter thread and asked for feedback. About 100 views later and no response. I deleted my post and reposted it so the thread would go back to the top. Eventually, after about 30 more reads or so, some one did respond.

That's why it doesn't make much sense when someone posts a picture of a car wanting to know what color it is, (to much digital variation)
Is this a little closer?

I was wondering... Do flatheads have any "hot" spots? You know where the paint overheats and discolors or burns off? I've never been around one long enough to know.

On the intake manifold in the area of the heat riser passages.

Thanks:-) ...Now...Does anyone recognize what year spread these pulleys were used. ? These are not the ones on the pumps I shipped to Skip. Mine were perfectly dome shaped and had no stamp marks around the middle. I was planning on chroming them when they came back. Now I feel like I am having tto justify asking for them back. He says he will go look on the "junk pile" and send them back. He may be good at rebuilding pumps, but I am not finding it easy to communicate with him after this. If he had notified me that my pulleys didn't fit his shafts and would have to be chqnged, I probably would have been okay with it. I am looking at it from the standpoint of..What if I was going for a complete correct restoration, and this happened
