Default 6 Volt Relays

Need a little help finding a source for some 6 volt automotive type relays. Something similar to the bosch type relays. If anyone has purchased any lately I would really appreciate info on where you got them. Thank You. Appreciate any leads.

Any junk yard with old 6 volt cars will have horn relays. Not sure what you mean by "BOSCH" type relays, but many surplus stores have an assortment of relays. The "AXMAN" and "ABC ELECTRONICS" in Mpls. have many relays.

Here's an example--just a standard aftermarket NO/NC relay, often offered with a socket with five wires.

Bosch Relay

Bosch Relay

That's the type of relay I figured he meant. I was surprized to see Tyco bought the Bosch auto relay business.

A similar relay should be found at the electronics stores. Just make sure the contacts are rated for at least the amps being used.
