Default Replacing Window Runs

I am getting ready to replace the window runs and fuzzies on my 39 coupe. I bought a kit with the fuzzies and the front and rear window runs included. Any tips on this project?

Do I need to take the window and regulator out to replace the runs or will the window runs come out with the window still in place? If I remove the window stop pin on the regulator, can I crank the window all the way up and then pull the window out the top?

Thanks in advance, Bruce
