Default 32 Drum covers

I was visiting a good friend and he had these drum covers that fit the 32 drums and covered the open areas. He wanted me to put them here to see if anyone knew what they are. My guess is they do the same job as the wire wheel and would have come out in the 40's so you could put the 40 up disc type wheels on your 32-35. What do you guys think? Thanks, Dale.

Hi Dale,
I'm restoring a '32, and I've never seen these before. One has a raised ridge on its inner circumference, one doesn't. I'm at a loss.

An aftermarket item with no function other than to slow down cooling with '32-'35 wheels which cover up the drum openings themselves..

So...if aftermarket, who manufactured them?
