Still, I am happily insane.

Re: Interest in new restoration project thread?
You may want to rethink that. Ya know, if the gap widens in our respective ages, one of us is no longer breathing.
Me? I'd prefer the gap in ages remains exactly as it currently is.

Re: Interest in new restoration project thread?
Excellent. Unless it's proprietary info, please let us know what color, brand and type of paint you use. Thanks.

Re: Interest in new restoration project thread?
Thanks for the kind comments guys.
Ya know, I truly enjoy these projects. Not really "work", well, for the most part anyway. Occasionally I want to pull my hair out. I refrain as I figure at my age, pulled out and it ain't growing back... I am hoping that by this evening I'll be the proud poppa of a shiny gray coupe

Mike, I see an 1/8 inch drip right below the end of the drip rail.
Just kidding! You did a beautiful job. CONGRATULATIONS. It's gorgeous. |

I did get two small runs in the rear quarter. I'll (carefully) get them out. Wanted to cry. Still do. Decided to have a brandy instead.

Re: Interest in new restoration project thread?
Mike, Sorry. Didn't mean for your heart to skip a beat.
Is this how you do it? Is water borne basecoat/ clear coat hard to do? https://www.cromax.com/eu/en_GB/prod...-basecoat.html |

Re: Interest in new restoration project thread?
Love the color, in the mid 70's I had a 1/2 ton pickup that color with red pin striping. And, in light surface rust above the windshield you could see..."U.S. MAIL"

Re: Interest in new restoration project thread?
It must be nice to be able to pick which 1000 point restored '40 Ford coupe to drive just by the color!
In the real world, fantastic job. I can't wait to see the completed project. |
