Fuel Gauge Numbers - Paint
What brand and type of paint or clear coat do you use when painting the fuel gauge numbers. I used model airplane paint, fuel proof, for the numbers then sanded the face with sandpaper taped to some glass. Does anyone know of a clearcoat to protect from gasoline.

Try to google the paint you used and contact that company for a compatible clear coat.

Re: Fuel Gauge Numbers - Paint
I recently ordered good old fashioned fuel-proof butyrate dope from Radical RC. Reasonable prices, reasonable shipping cost, good communication, quick delivery, overall a good experience. I got jet black (to paint my carburetor, I know it's gloss and the original japan finish was dull), which I'll also use on the fuel gauge when I get to that point. They have clear also. The 4 oz size is plenty big enough for two coats on two carburetors, and should be enough for approximately 165 fuel gauges . Use acetone to clean up.
