Be sure and look at reviews for the different programs so you can make the best choice.

I think I have it!!!

I found a program "Photo Gallery" in my computer that I had never used. It has an "Edit" feature where you can re-size photos. Very easy.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

MERCMAN,

How did you make the pictures larger?

Interesting that the way Mercman posted pictures.

1) He is using the IMG tags for an uploaded photo, which on this board is quite clunky to use. You could also use any photo hosting site like flickr. Log in, quote his post, and look at the syntax. Don't hit 'submit' though, or we'll all have dozens of repeats to look at. The general format is [IMG] (Photo URL) [/IMG] No spaces, and the square brackets matter.

2) This board for some reason hides those photos unless you are logged in. Doesn't even show an icon, it's just invisible.

Another easy way to resize photos is your phone might already have the ability. On my Samsung Galaxy, when you view a photo and select the options, one of them is resize. Choose a size and it saves it in the new size. You can also crop, label, and more.

Yes Keith. I certainly like what the computer does for me and would like to post bigger pictures but I struggle with that cursed machine. But the computer is not my love or life and I too find more satisfying things to occupy my time. I'd rather be tending my geraniums or even mowing the grass.

If it takes more than a couple of lines of instruction on how to do it,I'm out.I do realize though, that tech comes as easy to a lot of people as breathing. My interest in tech is close to zero.My phone is a flip phone,(couldn't get a battery for my brick)I can't text,my TV has an antenna,my fridge has a coil on the top,and my washing machine has a wringer on the top.Until my house burned my phone was a wall mount dial.I have an old computer somebody gave me in a shed behind my cellar hole, and I have no idea what make it is or what it can do.

Keith,
Sounds to me like you're living the good life! Kudos...
I used to write computer programs and build and repair them. I'm an A+ computer tech and a certified Microsoft professional. What a bunch of hooey - all it leads to is a sore neck and fuzzy eyes, LOL. Now I only use my computer to buy stuff and to talk on forums - and I refuse to use a smart phone...I too have a flip phone that I very rarely use. I like to spend time in the field behind my house with my pet goat. No kidding, the guy is very cool.

But I have to ask...how do you communicate with this forum?

The computer in my shed is what I am using. It was given to me by my brother in law when my house burned. He is a retired Intel hardware engineer, and feels the world will come to a stop for me if I don't have a computer. He had this one hooked up before the fire investigators left.I just looked down at it and realized it is stamped HP on the side,so it is a Hewlet-Packard.I strung a line around and back to the shed.I am 600 feet from the road, and all utility connections are at the base of my pole in the yard.

You leave your computer in your shed Keith True. Don’t let it dominate your life.

I have joined our local men’s shed. We have 15 members total and a continual attendance of at least 10.
I have access to many wood working tools and machines. Two members are former manual arts teachers and enjoy imparting their knowledge and skill. Half are farmers and all my former clients. I’m comfortable with them all. None bring mobile phones or electronic gadgets. What a breath of fresh air. We have a skill the modern generation do not have. We can communicate, verbally that is.
