Default Inserted rods from Snyders

I had my engine rebuilt last winter with the new inserted rods from Snyders. I have put on over four thousand miles since and have had no problems with them. I was just wondering how others are faring with them.

I used a set and other than having to fit the pins they are great. I have another set on the shelf for future use. I fit my own pins so that is not an issue with me.

For those readers who have not seen the previous thread about these rods, read here: LINK.
I would like to know what they weigh (grams) with the bearing shells, both overall and on the big end only. Lighter or heavier than AER rods?

Perhaps Dave in MN could comment on the Snyders rods in use as asked by Ron. Dave stated at reply #24 in the above link that he was going to try them in a build.

Mike,
I saw Rich's rods in San Diego, nice. Also saw the Scat rods which I liked better,
they have the alinement sleeves. Sorry no weights....

Mike,
Just saw your post...I have been so busy working on engines for others I have not had a chance to start on the next test engine for myself. I have a set of the Snyder's rods on the shelf... I do not want to try the Snyder's Rods in a customer's engine until I have tried them in my own. I am not yet ready to comment...and maybe I won't be. I have been using AER rods in the inserted engines I build with good success and success is hard to stray from. I could probably get you the info you are requesting this evening.

Ron the rods certainly look nice. Lots of surface area on the shells and a beefy big end.
What kind of an oil filter arrangement are you running?

I am not running an oil filter. I am changing oil about every thousand miles and it looks good.

I weighed one rod each from Antique Engine Rebuilding (AER) and Snyder's. Both rods included .030" bearing shells.
AER Total weight 781 grams 572 grams at big end
Snyders Total weight 808 grams 604 grams at big end

Good Day!
Dave
