Same here - was always last resort for me, there are plenty of suppliers that will happily take my money AND not act like you are bothering them !

Mac's prices are higher on alot of items compared with Snyder's and Bratton's. They even want $3. extra for QUICK shipping. In my experience, Snyder's always ships same day if it's in stock at no extra cost. I'm in Ohio and I always get it on the next day.

They were OK, then so-so, then my last order. They had to back order a roll of safety wire and sent it after my original order was shipped. The only problem was they charged me extra for a minimum order.

I've ordered from Mac's for years and they've always been good to me. Yeah, the shippings a bit long but other than that, first class to me.

Small business entity (especially LLC and S Corps as well as sole proprietors) sales in all manner of lines of business are up, and the number for sale is also high. Many owners have been looking at the ever more possible increase in Capital Gains taxes after the first of the year and want to get their earned "gain" before that uncertainty becomes reality. I have no insight to whether that was their specific motivator, just an additional thought.

nothing will change, it all is the same,, no one would have ever known a thing, Just order and you wont see a difference, as far as shipping charges going up.. Welcome to 2012, fuel is up, cost of doing business is up, it is part of the fold of ordering. They are all fine

If it is all the same then business will continue to decline. Costs went up for all suppliers, not just Macs. When customers consider them a last resort there must be something wrong ! The new owners can not bury there head in the sand like an ostrich ! It is severely broke and it needs fixing !
