Question on greasing U- Joint on 31 A
I must once again beg for help on greasing clam shell and U -joint on my 31A So be gentle its my first time Thank You oh smarter than me good people!: Ok it is my turn to shine numbers for the correct clam shell for a 1931 A trans and torque tube rear end are as follows top-A4514 B2 PL 1 bottomA 45 14 a diamond C know everyone write this bunch of numbers down so when you go hunting for your parts you do not spend a month looking for them. I believe it was Tom the train guy, who turned me on to Berts and Steve the right parts were here in 5 days. God I love it when a plan comes together!!!!!: Don in N. W. Indiana

For the first time greasing the U joint I remove the speedometer gear and pump in grease until it just comes out that opening. All the next grease jobs I give it about 5 pumps every 1000 miles or so.
BTW, be sure to grease all over inside the outer clam shell before installing it. |
