Default First Michigan Spring Run

It doesn't look or feel like spring here in Michigan and I live on a gravel road that will be a mess for the next month. I still couldn't wait to take a ride and see if my winter projects were going to work and when the weather does improve I can start driving again. I took off early before the road started to soften and returned before it got above 32 degrees. I took a 15 mile drive and the car ran great. It was great to be out again and I hope everyone is getting out and driving their model a's again.

Ron,

Looks real nice. I think you will be washing it a lot over the next few months or not driving it at all.

Have you signed up for the Michigan Model A group on this forum?

Jerry

My cars are stuck down in the barn until at least late April. The ground is so soft, that they would sink to China on those skinny tires.

My 29 has not left the garage since late November, I want to get it out but the potholes are really really bad! Not to mention the water still on the roads ( full of snow melting salt) that eats your car. Next couple of weeks I hope.

Yes, The potholes in Michigan are terrible. On my ride yesterday it was as rough on paved roads as it was on the frozen gravel. I kept telling myself that model a's were built for roads like that, but it takes a lot of the fun out driving. It makes you wonder how any of our Model a's lasted this long if their early years were spent taking such a punishing.
