Default Another undesirable '37 Ford

Posted the info and phone contact for this coupe on the swap meet. Original, low mileage, all steel, 24 stud flathead, dual carbs, Navarro intake and heads, 12 volt conversion and juice brakes. I was called to come take a look at the car, and thought someone here might be interested.

Just passing the info on, I've no skin in this game...

You should see his truck in person. A well done, real beauty. I believe a 1000 point EFV-8 Club Dearborn winner!!

Bryan, where are you guys finding all these beautiful to me '37's that some who are lacking good judgement call "ugly ducklings". I would love to own a tudor slant back.....IF.....only I had the $$'s and a place to keep them.

Kiwitony: thanks, my grandfather taught me to drive in it. It was a basket case for over 30 years. Not sure I'll be able to drive it for 41 years, tho...

John, I got a call about the '37 coupe last week. An estate sale, and they found me from the EFV8 roster. It's only a few miles from me. I think it'd be a really fun car to drive. A lot more room inside the coupe than in my cab.

Man, that thing is nice, and should be SOLD by now for that money. Looks like a CLUB coupe. DD

DD - it is presented as being a "business" coupe. Never seen a club coupe myself, but Francis & DeAngelis's 'the Early Ford V8' book describes them as having a back seat like a club cabriolet, and a flip open rear quarter window. This car has no back seat, and non opening rear quarter Windows. And a huge trunk. I wish I had the mechanical know how or Ida grabbed it. I bet with a little work getting it running it'd be a really nice driving car.

Club coupes are kinda easy to spot
They used a 2 dr sedan length door and like you said a back seat.

I should'a spotted that that quarter window was NON-opening. That window did appear (to me) to be a smidge longer in the pic, and the glare at the rear made the top turret appear farther back like the CLUB has.......I just blew it on this one. DD

DD: I apologize for the poor phone pics. A side view would have been clearer, but the workbench and another vehicle were in the way.
