Re: King Pin Dia.
Don't have a clue what it REALLY is, but it IS NOT a V8-60. Looks to be a crude, home-made unit. DD

Re: King Pin Dia.
Ford mostly used 13/16" king pins. .975" would indicate closer to a worn 15/16 king pin or way worn out.

296 V8
Looks like a good reference but it's too small and distorts when you try to zoom in. |

Re: King Pin Dia.
Sprint cars from the "modern" era that had transverse springs in front as opposed to torsion bars. The racers had long passed the use of Ford axles and everything was custom fabricated. Anywhere from the '50s to the '70s.

Re: King Pin Dia.
I believe that measurement is very close to an old 1932-37 or so BB truck kingpin...as far as the diameter goes, anyway. I have an NOS Oem reamer driver which I believe is that size. Incidentally, unit is for sale for $85 postpaid. Has original box and definately indicates BB application. What I am not 100% sure about is the diameter of the BB trcks, and also whether they were the same as the AA trucks? I have an NORS pins, etc., which I will sell for $85 also.. [email protected] for pics.

Re: King Pin Dia.
8274B fits International pickup and shows as .985 and coololdcars did mention that it was "around .975". Looks like Dale Fairfax may have nailed it.
