Spare wheel/tire lock nut
1) Which spare wheel/tire lock nut is correct for my early ’28? would like info on other 2 for possible resale.
2) what does a correct 'lock' for this look like .... Ford script, etc? |

Re: Spare wheel/tire lock nut
Charles, use the one pictured on the right for an early '28. Ford did not supply a lock for the locking lug. the middle looks to be an original later '28/29 locking lug. the on on the left is probably a variation of the 'later '28/29 as well.

On my Apr '29 Tudor (also original), it looks like #2, but dark and rusty same as #1. #1 is 1.437" tall; #2 is 1.388" tall Neither looks plated (but not sure); nor painted. |
