1928 Phaeton Tail light
I have recently pulled a 1928 Phaeton out of storage where it sat untouched since 1956. It has a tail light that I wonder if it is original to the car or if it is an aftermarket. Can one of you enlighten me on its origin?

Re: 1928 Phaeton Tail light
If original, it should have what was termed a "drum" tail light - round and having a depth from the backing plate of something between one to 1 1/2 inches (probably closer to one inch). It would also have had a bracket that would have been bolted to the rear left side of the body on the lower "belt". Hope this helps.

The tail light is not original it is aftermarket . The bracket looks original .

Re: 1928 Phaeton Tail light
Sorry, what you have is not correct for a 1928 Phaeton. Your tail lamp should look like these.
