Default clips to hold trim ring 1936

Does anyone know where to get the clips that hold the spare tire trim ring onto the cover? I've been told the after market clips aren't made anymore.

Do you have one you could match it up with, my local NAPA had a book with all kind of clips on each page, found an exact match for my inner door panels on my '41 coupe.

Impossible to find.I made mine from a SS threaded rivet replacement that Drake sells for the 32 hood side hdwe.I ground down the crown and slipped it in the slot of the trim ring .Had to drill the slotted hole on the face plate a little larger .The lock washered nut tightens it down and no interference with the tire sidewall.Worked just fine.

Here is a pic of what I used.

Alan, Are you using an original trim ring? If so, I may have some clips for you. Drakes' trim ring is not correct and original clips will not work.

I have two trim rings and the clips. I PMed you. One ring just needs polishing with no dents.
