Default 1939 ford 91T truck project in OZ

Hey
Now that i have moved my 39 ford truck to the family farm in the new south wales southern highlands away from the rust prone eastcoast coastline i now in the process of restoration.

One of my first items on the list is to see if this sucker is going to start. The truck is 99% complete and there is still fuel in the tank .

It was used as a wheat truck as it is fitted with a G-WELL hydraulic wheat bag lifter system at the back that runs off the PTO.

I would like some advice on the process i should carry out before starting ,like lubing the cylinders??? cleaning the inners of the sump???

I have included some pics of a lever that runs down the side of the main gear lever,i would like to know what that is for,and also the switch on the steering column???

The truck has 91T-796 stamped on the firewall ,has the key in the ignition and all gauges look to be in great condition,so i guess i need to purchase a 6 volt battery ???

Any help with answering any questions will be greatly appreciated .
