Default Model A Charcoal Heaters

Well, i've been looking for a Ford Charcoal Heater for the interior of cars...I heard that two sisters had one for their Fordor in Beckly WVa...but did not see it...doe anyone have one or have you seen one or do you have photos of one?

i remember something like a footrest that some coals were put into, not a Ford thing, just genaric

I have seen those on ebay from time to time. I almost bought one just for display. Wouldn't think they would be too safe in a enclosed car.

The Clarke Heaters had foot warmers charcoal back early mid 1900's.

You could put this "Ford Charcoal Heater" in your car to heat things up.....though kind of a fire hazard, as well as a carbon monoxide hazard

The type posted in #5 ive seen a lot of at swap meets. Usually sell for up to $10. Fill the little drawer with embers out of the coal or wood stove. Would produce quite a bit of heat.

Thought I read somewhere that Henry was the 1st to commercialize charcoal. Something about it was to make a profit of the byproducts of producing the T/A?
