Dimmer Switch
My 38 has replacement floorboards not drilled for dimmer switch.
I have seen photos showing location… looks to be centered between clutch/brake pedals. Could someone provide location measurements and indicate if switch is mounted on the interior (top) or underside (bottom) of floorboard? As always….THANK YOU!!!! Steve [email protected] |

Re: Dimmer Switch
Appears the dimmer was on the left until 12-37 and then moved to between the pedals and slightly below them.

Re: Dimmer Switch
Thanks Terry. I did read that in the 1938-39 Ford facts book.
I’m looking for measurements and how switch was mounted (see original post). Thanks!!! Steve |

Re: Dimmer Switch
You can contact the Benson Ford Research Center and order a copy of the engineering drawing for the floorboard. I did this for my 1937 car and made new floorboards from the drawings. It cost $30 per drawing when I did it a couple of years ago.

Re: Dimmer Switch
Thanks for the tip, Zeke!
Hoping to learn location and whether dimmer switch mounts on top or below the floor board…. |
