smoother ride
I tried putting 120 lbs of concrete in the bed of my 1930 pickup truck. It helps the ride. Does anyone else do this?

Alternatively you could get a spring from a roadster, just remember you won't have as much carrying capacity. I have done this on my '31 RDPU.
