33-34 passenger shock absorbers (Houdaille)
Greetings to all flathead lovers.
My rear right shock absorber broke last week. I've been searching for a replacement with no luck (Macs, C&G). I know there are some shops that will rebuild if you supply cores but I'd prefer buying a replacement unit. Please advise. You were fortunate that you couldn't find a reproduction replacement shock. I've had nothing but trouble with the repops, as the shafts are of low quality and often break. A good original shock or a rebuilt original shock is your best bet. If you buy a rebuilt shock, make sure it's a rebuilt original shock not a rebuilt repop.
