Default Flywheel housing question

There is a cotter pin sticking out of the bottom hole in the flywheel housing. It spins and doesn't seem to be attached to anything. Does it belong there or should I remove it? If it does belong what's it for?

Thanks

Jim

Having trouble with the picture. Sorry

It is there to rattle around and keep the hole clear so that oil does not pool in the bellhousing. Leave it be.

That controls clutch lubrication......or not. It belongs there, as is! DD
