Default 1941 Ford Bus Marmon Herrington

This just showed up on the local C/L. I have no interest in it or knowledge about it other than its way cool but well beyond my ability to restore.
https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/...702794084.html
1941 Ford Bus, Marmon Herrington front wheel drive, 18inch tires, flathead engine, areo dynamic body, the grill is in the shape of a Bell, There were supposed to two of these made for the Maw Bell telephone co. we have heard this is the only one left. It was used for field work, Ran when parked over 25 years ago, It has lots of rust, but would be very cool restored. approx 25 ft. long and 6ft 8in wide, 8 ft high.

That thing is awesome. I don't see rust in the hard to fix front areas. The link came up 'no page found'....

Judging from the interior pix I would say that the bus was converted to a living unit, bulkhead separating the rear compartment. Only Ma Bell had the money to afford a custom bus like this unit.

Maybe that's where "Mr" Ma Bell conducted his Annual Employee Evaluations!

If it's indeed a MH, where are the dash and hood sides plaques? And, just front wheel drive?

Doubt Chuck has interest in it, unless it would be to help a customer source repair parts. M-H build their own vehicles in addition to their conversion of Fords. I once asked Chuck if he had interest in the M-H Delivr-Alls which were also front wheel drive. He didn’t seem too interested in them.

Only the Ford conversions have these badges. Stu
