Default Engine compartment/component paint type/color

Bought the antique ford green from Synder's to get the engine color right on the 1939 A-model but unclear about painting things like the firewall, generator, starter, water pipes, steering column (engine side), exhaust pipes, ... . I'd like not to get to far off the original track on color but want to use something as durable as possible (rustoleum black gloss enamel paint?). Suggestions?

Radiator support rods are black also.

Cast iron sediment bulb is semi-gloss black.

Be sure to buy the "STANDARDS" book, as it's a must have book for every Model A owner.

Should I tape off the main lower engine and valve bolts/nuts or OK to paint green as well? I also saw a picture of the engagement mechanism on top of the starter was unpainted. I painted it black. Which is correct? I'd rather correct it now.

The bolts and nuts are not painted. I'd leave the starter switch cad plated, but the earlier STANDARDS said it could also be black. I haven't read the latest version of the STANDARDS to see if black is still OK.
