Default Need 1958 Ford Speedometer Help

I have a 1958 Ford Custom 300 w/ a six & automatic. The speedometer reads about 5-15 MPH slow, depending on speed (at faster speeds it's more accurate). Also the needle sticks at 0 until you're going about 30 MPH.

When I got the car it had no speedometer driven gear in the transmission. I bought one from Echler's (described as correct for '57 & up Fordomatic, but I don't think it's right). I have a 3.56 rear axle ratio, and according to the 1958 Ford shop manual, I should have a gear with 22 teeth. Can't find one. Gear photo shown is from an eBay auction I missed out on. Anyone have any suggestions?
