"What I Did While The HAMB Was Down" that is going to be a great return thread. I bought a '32 Heavy axle, and thanks to The Ford Barn got a tip on Okie Joe. He'll be blueprinting my axle and spindles. I worked on the Roadster for the first time in months. I wouldn't go so far as to say not having the HAMB is a good thing, but it did get me into my shop. Bob

Hey Roadster62, I was wondering, how do you "blueprint" a axel and spindles ?
First time Ive heard that...

Like engine blueprinting, Okie Joe has fixtures to align the kingpin and spring perch holes, set the caster & camber. I never knew things change when you add 39-48 spindles on an early axle. When the axle and spindles come home all I have to do is paint and install. Bob

Roadster 62,Joe also stamps a number on the left side to help w/install.
He also sends a page with info on what he's done.Great guy.

If the only time you get any work done is when the hamb is down for maintenance maybe they should randomly take it "off air" for a day every month or so, then people will get inspired to do stuff and post about what they did when it goes back "on air" again.

With the way they have restructured the HAMB I will get lots done. Its not user friendly anymore....
