Lee Hartung collection
I found this video buried in another. It is an amazing collection, that went up on the RM auctions last November. Mostly very old bikes and a bunch of Model A's. There are two '32 Ford cars. I think I''ll watch it again. So good to see such history being made available to car and bike collectors. Byron

Re: Lee Hartung collection
I was fortunate enough to tour his collection in the mid 1990's, but unfortunately I missed the auctions.
He would scour the alleys in the Chicagoland area and pay people $25 to haul off their old Model T's and Model A's. Then when they landed in his building he left them untouched and as-is. Amazing time capsules from the 40's, 50's, and 60's. |

Re: Lee Hartung collection
That was really worth the look-see! With all the videos, I think it took 6 days just to clear out the buildings and you get to see most everything! Starting up the 1912 Harley was a biggie for me, as I remember my father's stories of his '12 Harley when he was a youngster.
