1941 Ford parking brake adjustment
Hi fellas
I have a 41 Super Deluxe and in order to fully prevent the car from rolling rearward while on an incline - I have to pull the interior park brake handle to the full extreme and at that it is just enough to hold the car in place. Is there an adjustment at the interior handle side I can make to allow brake engagement earlier in the handles movement? Any pics are helpful with descriptions Thank you in advance John |

Re: 1941 Ford parking brake adjustment
Here is how to adjust the parking brake on a 40. I think 41 is the same. of course, you adjust the brakes first. I used a bathroom scale wedged between the front bottom edge of the front seat on a piece of ply wood and a 2 x 4 pushing against the brake pedal.

The adjustment for the parking brake is under the car at the connection of the single line to the two lines to the rear wheels. Careful not to overtighten and cause the rear brakes to drag. Bruce
