Default Mitchell for a mid April build 30 Tudor

Mitchell lists 1928-30 and 1930-31 part numbers. Anyone know how to determine which one for a 30 model?
Thanks,
Hugh

why not ask Mitchell for a real answer and not just someone's opinion?

1928- 1930 if you have an Oval Speedometer
1930-1931 if you have a Round Speedometer
It's the speedometer cable connection.
That is the difference and not my opinion :-))

Thanks Joop. Looking at a used one that was for a 31. Just wondering if that was a big issue. I'd say not!!

Mitchell provides speedo cable extension with each O/D. That extension is what has either a "key drive" or "square drive" and that is the difference.

The Mitchell company can provide either style of speedo extension cable. When placing an order with them they will ask which type of cable you have, keyed or square.

They also produce an overdrive to fit the cars with a dropped floor pan, Victoria, A-400, and 31 two door phaeton. The overdrives for these cars have the gear box housing positioned 4.5 inches more forward on the drive train. This also requires a longer stub shaft. The top back edge of the gear box housing is also shaved at an angle.
