Default Speedometer cable with Mitchell OD

I just put a Mitchell OD in my A purchased used from a barner. It was a complete rear end from a 31. Works great!! The only issue is the early oval speedometer cable I have doesn't fit the square cable on the Mitchell. Mitchell is closed already so just wondering if a square-square 31 cable from Snyder's will work on my oval speedo(square-keyed).

I think that you either need a "special cable" from Snyders that is oval speedometer size ( 0.124 ) on the top and 30-31 sized ( 0.104 ) on the bottom, or get a oval speedometer version cable extension from Mitchell. The top end square drive that goes into the speedometer head is larger on the oval speedometer than the round faced. ( 0.124 vs 0.104 )
