Default F1 Spare Tire Carrier Nut

I am having great difficult sourcing the original nut used to retain the spare tire carrier to the F1 frame. I know they are not being reproduced, but feel there must be some sitting around waiting for a new home. I have attached a photograph of what the nut looks like. If you have some you would like to sell, I would appreciate it!

Does anyone know if the 6.50-16 tire required a longer threaded hangar bolt than 6 inches?

Thanks

As you know, those are tough to find. Keep an eye out on eBay as they can/will appear, you might have to buy an entire carrier to get those hangers and nuts. I run 6.5x16’s and the stock hangers are plenty long enough.

Could you modify this nut to look like the one you need?
You could rethread it.

Thanks for the input. Anything is possible...not sure what the thread configuration is. If there was sufficient demand for this part and the cost was realistic, it would be easy to replicate using a CNC Turning Center with live tooling. Programming would be simple. I have three (3) of them. But, it goes back to my original comment. How many truck owners actually use the original spare tire carrier and how many of those use the original nut? My guess is not many. Demand and sales volume would be very low. Hence why this part and the threaded hangars get no traction for reproducing.

I only need one (1) original nut. Does anyone have a spare sitting around in the parts box?

Thanks

Kismet! That's like a forty mile round trip!

I drive two hours each way to get to my V-8 guru's version of Mecca and am tickled pink to do it!

One of these days I'll make sure to get to Fairbault, if I can get an invite.
